tonight we gave a grad banquet for my 8th grade class as part of a new tradition at the school. The parents put together the dinner and my boss gave a super encouraging speech about the kids. Then he opened up the floor for the parents and teachers to speak inspirational things to the kids. It was actually pretty neat and I hop the kids took what everyone said to their hearts because everyone said very encouraging things.
3.5 days left
The count down isn't about getting rid of them, but it is about getting rid of having them in class and getting rid of my first year teaching. I wish the two were not combined.
I got several compliments and thanks from the parents tonight and that was very special to me because it reminds me that I have not failed as much as I think I have.
