the church has been remodeling the sanctuary for many months and is nearing completion, so today we had the weekly school assembly in the Sanctuary for the first time in 2008. THE COLOR SCHEME MAKES ME WANT TO VOMIT. Puke-lime green with a black ceiling and carpet. Ew.
The new chairs haven't come in so there are rows and rows of BLUE chairs in the room, which simply do not go with the puke green. And some of the rooms on the side have not been painted yet so they are still mauve so when the doors of those rooms are open the mauve and the lime green are seen side by side for an extra special kind of VOMIT reaction. yay.
I don't think I could ever go to a church that looked like that on the inside--BLAH--but still have to go in there for chapel each week! Maybe by the end of the summer it will be finished and will look 100x better. |
