Oh, and I wanted to mention . . .
Today we took the 7th and 8th grade to go see a movie at the theatre down the street. All the kids sat in the back row, which is fine because that is what teenagers do.
But some idiot lady decided to sit in the row right in front of them even though most of the theatre was empty
. What was she thinking sitting in front of 16 junior high kids? ???Of course they are going to talk and of course they're going to be obnoxious. That is what teenagers do.
So she got pissed at me, of course, and I felt bad that my kids were too loud for her, but HONESTLY they were being good for them. There was no throwing of food, no kicking chairs, no shouting things. All they did was talk to each other, and except for a few times I couldn't even hear it.
I really wish she hadn't have sat there because I wound up being so stressed about every little noise the kids made and had to keep shushing them. And yeah, I know it's rude to talk in movies, but they weren't even that loud or obnoxious.
My advice for sitting near junior high kids in a movie theatre is DON'T. |
