more pregnancies!

i knew over 10 women who had babies last year and several more who were preggers.

Now I can add 3 more people to the list:

1. Tracy (no one on lj knows her)
2. Judith--one of Rommel's close friends
3. Erika Olsen (formerly Solomon)

I guess I'm just at an age where everyone around me is eager to express their fertility

Will be 26 in less than a month

so on the website for H&M, fancy-ish international clothing store, you can create a model to look like you and put clothes from their catalogue on. it was fun.

kinda does look like me--much closer than my Yahoo avatar at least!!

[Current Mood | complacent]

my to-do list is getting done extremely slowly.

in other news, my parents came down to the Bay Area this weekend and took me and Rommel out for lunch. So he finally met the parents and it went extremely well!! Rommel loved my parents, and I think he gave them a really good impression. Yay happiness!!

What do I want to eat for dinner besides nothing or ice cream????

No suggestions? Alright, ICE CREAM IT IS!!

Need opinions.

So, Rommel needs some wall art for behind his couch. Of the thousands of art pieces I have looked at, this one of horses seems like the one he would like the most.

Now I need to decide how to get it framed to flatter his living room and to integrate some sort of color scheme into the room.

His walls are normal apartment color. The couch is a light toffee color. The frame of the couch, which does not show, is dark cherry brown or black.

1. My first choice is the upper left hand painting with the dark brown frame and the russet color matting. This painting would make it easy to integrate warm brownish reds and darker browns into the living room.

2. I thought I would try the basic black in the upper right hand corner. This is not inspiring, but is an easy color to get for a guy.

3. Now, in the lower left corner, is a very green interpretation of the painting. I created this one on a whim and kinda liked the effect. I already know of some throw pillows to add to the couch that would balance out shades of greens, browns, and tan. Seems really dull though.

4. The last painting, I just put there to make an equal amount of choices.

Anyway, I am actually NOT trying to redecorate his house. I honestly do think he will like the artwork for his living room based on him saying so. I just want to make sure it aids further decoration for him if the occasion arises.

That being said, i would like to know which one people think looks best.

[Current Mood | quiet because i have no voice]

i'm home sick and i hate it

i hate having a sub and relinquishing control of my lesson plans!!I just want to do it myself!

so anyway, i have some movies planned for my kids tomorrow so the sub won't have to work too hard.

The 1968 version of Jason and the Argonauts for 7th grade who is studying Ancient Greece

and something about the Revolutionary War for the 8th graders.

It's multicultural month at my school, and my classroom will be all about the Middle East. Each 8th grader will have to do a culture report and poster project on a different mid east country. I did the same project for European countries last year, and they all turned out wonderfully, so I am hoping for the same results this year. Plus, I really think that the middle east is overlooked or misinterpreted, so hopefully the kids will become aware of how diverse the countries are and the richness of their cultures.

I need to go do some errands even though i'm in no condition to drive. But i need to fix things for my class tomorrow.
